DEVELOP A NEW SYSTEM TO DETECT HIDDEN MOLECULES.
A group of researches from the institute of photonic sciences (ICFO) a center affiliated to the universithat politecnica the catalunya (UPC) in collaboration with the free university of brussels, have discovered a system to facilitate the detection of light from molecules generated by non-fluoresent. the detection of molecules is necessary in monotoring enviromental pollution, disease diagnosis, identification of explosiv sustances and other aplications werhe you have to identify a sustance hidden. for the generation of light with the new system developed only takes between fifty-one hundreds of molecules and a low power laser light but high quality. the system is useful to create an ultra-sensitive detector to identify, more accurately, explosive subtances and particulate pullutants, among others. the research is published in the journal nature comunications as a featured article.
