ARE KEY TO THE SPREAD OF INFLUENZA "AH1N1"

Scientists at the university of tokyo and the university of wisconsin found the key to the spread of influenza AH1N1 virus in humans.
the virus known as swine flu was identified as a new strain, but genetic research has shown that the virus was already circulating at least 10 or more years in swine.
researchers found that due to a mutation in a amino acid AH1N1 maneged to jump from birds to mammals and replicate very quikly.
"here we show that an amino acid at position 591 of PB2 base can compensate for the lack of lysine at position 627 and confers efficient viral replication pandemic H1N1 virus in mammasl".
